Smoky Mountain Youth Baseball Spring 2026 Registration/League Format Changes
The Smoky Mountain Youth Baseball League operated, by both the Pigeon Forge and Sevierville Parks and Recreation Departments, will be holding signups for youth baseball and softball beginning January 2, 2026. The league will run from March through May 2026. This league is for boys and girls ages 3-12. The age of the player signing up is based on the players’ age as of May 1, 2026. The registration fee for all age groups is $35.00/child. There is a $5.00 discount for each additional child, when signed up in person.
Registration will be at the Sevierville Community Center, Pigeon Forge Community Center, or online through the Sevierville Parks and Recreation Department at https://sevierville.recdesk.com/Community/Home. The final day to register is February 18, 2026. There will be a player evaluation day at Wear Farm Park on Saturday, February 21 for all registered players; time will be determined at a later date.
Spring 2026 will be the first year where the league will operate as a full draft league. This means each returning or new coach will be able to protect only their child plus the child of up to two assistant coaches. Every other player registered will enter the draft in each age group to be selected based on evaluation results. This approach is consistent with the mission of Smoky Mountain Youth Baseball which is to provide quality and safe Parks and Recreation level athletic programming for the enjoyment and development of our youth of Sevier County, yet focusing on health, wellness, sportsmanship, and social growth of each child. There will be two coaches’ meetings, one in January and one in February, to discuss league changes, rules and to answer any other questions prior to the registration deadline.
With the ongoing renovation at Sevierville City Park, all games for the spring 2026 season will be played at Wear Farm Park in Pigeon Forge, Mynatt Park in Gatlinburg or the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge.
