Portion of Walnut Road to close for drainage improvements

GATLINBURG, TENN.—The City of Gatlinburg is announcing a temporary road closure on Walnut Road between Glades Road and Pine Drive beginning Tuesday, January 20, to allow for necessary drainage improvements.

The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately three weeks, weather permitting. This work is required to improve drainage infrastructure.

Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes in this area, use caution when traveling near the construction zone, and be aware of workers in the area.
