CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WREG) -- Data from a newly released study reported that four Tennessee metro areas are in the top ten metro areas for job growth in the southeast so far in 2017.
The study, based on rate of job growth, discovered that Tennessee's jobless rate fell to three percent this fall, the lowest level on record. The four cities that made the top ten list among Southern cities are: Nashville, Chattanooga, Morristown and Johnson City.
Nashville added 43,392 jobs from January to October. During that time, Morristown added 2,043, Chattanooga added 9,377 and Johnson City added 3,147.
Nationally, Nashville and Chattanooga ranked 11th and 21st. Morristown and Johnson City ranked 14th and 22nd.
