United Way of Greater Knoxville fundraising campaign starts Tuesday in Neyland Stadium

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - The United Way of Greater Knoxville officially kicking off its 2018 fundraising campaign today.

The organization will kick-off its campaign at Neyland Stadium Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

There will be several speakers including 2018 campaign chair and UT Chancellor Emeritus Dr. Jimmy Cheek as well as UT Interim Chancellor Wayne Davis. ESPN contributor Dr. Jerry Punch, Pilot founder Jim Haslam and Knoxville Deputy to the Mayor David Brace will also speak at the event.



The event will begin at the Tennessee Terrace of Neyland Stadium. As part of the festivities, there will be an opportunity to go on an exclusive tour of the locker rooms and take a Power T photo on the field.

Free parking will be provided in Lot 9 and G-10.

The United Way raising more than $13.4 million dollars during last year's campaign. All the money going to United Way's various programs dedicated to improving our community.
