KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - East Tennessee is buzzing about basketball. Both the men and Lady Vols walked away with huge wins Sunday, making fans optimistic and excited for the season.

Anthony Shipley is a Vol fan who could hardly contain his excitement during the final moments of the men's game against Gonzaga. While he was glued to the game on his TV, his wife secretly filmed his enthusiasm before the final buzzer rang out.

"I can't sit still, and little did I know the wife is sitting behind me with the cell phone running, so I couldn't believe it! Huge win,"
Shipley said. "I love Coach Barnes. I hope he has another 20 years in him."

After the team arrived back on campus Sunday night, fans ran to greet them coming off the bus.

Students could be seen Monday afternoon wearing head to toe orange to show their excitement for the Vols.

"I couldn't believe it, like I was running around my dorm about to break everything in it, like I was going crazy, because I've been a Vol fan my whole life,"
Cole Boruff, a student at UT, said.

"It was definitely a hard fought battle in the second half, but it was a very well played game,"
said UT student, Kyle Brown.

"It had a lot of ups and downs, but at the end, it was really, really nice,"
Michael Radick, a UT student, said.

"We're energized. I told my wife, it's just one game. We got to stay calm,"
Shipley said.

The men are on the road for their next game, Saturday against Memphis. Tip-off is set for noon. The Lady Vols host Stanford Tuesday, Dec. 18. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
