Knox Sheriff announces U.S. Immigration and Customs awareness meeting

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Knox County Sheriff's Office has announced a meeting to increase the community's awareness of the U.S. Immigration and Customs (ICE) 287(g) program.


The 287(g) Steering Committee Meeting was slated for June 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the City County Building Small Assembly Room at 400 Main Street in Knoxville.

According to a Facebook post by the sheriff's office, the meeting will focus on the awareness of the program. The meeting will be open to the public.
