SEYMOUR, Tenn. (WVLT) -- After just one month in business and only open three days a week, owners of 434 Coffee said business is headed in the right direction.

If you drive too fast down Chilhowee School Road, you might miss the tiny building that practically sits in the front yard of neighbors. The 8-by-16-foot building sits on a plot of land that Jason Russell has dreamed about for 16 years.

Russell said the name 434 is the address of the business and a favorite Bible verse of his.

John 4:34 reads "“My food,” said Jesus, 'is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.'"

Russell said his faith pushed him to open a coffee shop.

"I feel like God has blessed me with this, and I just want to bless other people and know I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing," he said.

Russell's wife Jynnifer helps run the small drive through and said she has gotten more out of this business than just dollars and cents.

"Being here with him and just serving everyone and the laughter and meeting all the customers, we've prayed with people and laughed with people. I'm a very big people person, I love hanging out the window getting to know everyone."

The Russell family said they are starting slow, but they said they hope to expand the business over the next few years. Jason and Jynnifer Russell said it's been a 16-year long dream to start this business.

"This is the dream. This is what came out of his 16 years of dreaming, of course I said, 'Yeah, I'll help you,' and we haven't hurt each other yet, so it's all working out," Russell said.

434 Coffee offers a full menu of hot and cold drinks, espresso and tea. The hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and Saturday 8 until 5 p.m.

The coffee shop is located on the corner of Chilhowee School Road and Boyds Creek Highway.<
