KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The National Embryo Donation Center is giving hope to both, couples that are struggling to have a baby, and those that have completed their families.

The center offers a way for women, who might not want anymore kids, to donate their embryo(s) to mothers that can't conceive babies, but are able to carry them.

The center celebrated it's 800th baby born through this process on Saturday morning.

"Not only as a physician, but as a father and a parent you realize what a tremendous blessing it is to have children."
, said NEDC Medical Director Jeffrey Keenan.
"To be able to play that role for other couples is just phenomenal".

Embryo adoption continues to grow and be an option for those families struggling to conceive.
