NASHVILLE, TN – The First Ladies of Bluegrass, an all-star band that includes Alison Brown (banjo), Becky Buller (fiddle), Sierra Hull (mandolin), Missy Raines (bass) and Molly Tuttle (guitar), will take the stage 7:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at the CMA Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum, as part of the museum’s American Currents Concert Series.

The concert is in support of the museum’s exhibition, “American Currents: The Music of 2018.” The First Ladies of Bluegrass are featured in the exhibit, which carefully examines the noteworthy figures and events in country music’s recent past.

Each musician from the First Ladies of Bluegrass is the first woman to win the International Bluegrass Music Association award for Instrumentalist of the Year in her respective category. The genesis of the group was a 2017 session for Raine’s album Royal Traveller, for which the five women assembled to record “Swept Away” as a tribute to the song’s writer, Laurie Lewis. Produced by Brown, “Swept Away” was named Recorded Event of the Year at the 2018 IBMA Awards.

Tickets range from $39.50 to $59.50 (plus fees) and are on sale.
