The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is asking hunters to bring in their deer for data collection this Saturday at locations across East Tennessee.
According to a release from TWRA, the agency is collecting biological data on the opening day of rifle season, Nov. 17. Data collected will be deer age estimates, antler measurements and Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) samples.
The release states that TWRA will be removing lymph nodes of harvested deer to test for CWD.
