KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that 410 people have died on TN roads this year.

The number has increased to 38 more than this time last year.

THP reported, Urban area deaths in the state have increased by 40, while rural deaths have decreased.

Pedestrian and motorcyclist deaths have also increased as compared to last year, according to the data.

Teen driver involved accidents nearly doubled from last year. A number that is believed to increase as the 100 most deadly days for teen drivers approaches.

As reported by the American Automobile Association, the days between Memorial Day and Labor Day are the most dangerous times for teens on the road

The Tennessee Highway Safety Office warned drivers to watch for hidden motorcycles at intersections and do their part to stay safe and keep others safe.
