Roe, Takano Recognize DAV for 100 Years of Service

Reps. Phil Roe, M.D. (R-Tenn.) and Mark Takano (D-Calif.), the Ranking Member and Chairman of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, issued the following statement after they introduced a resolution to recognize the 100th anniversary of Disabled American Veterans (DAV):

"We are proud to recognize DAV for a century of service on behalf of our nation’s disabled veterans, their families, their survivors and their communities. As the leading voice for our disabled veteran community, DAV’s sole mission, to care for those who return home bearing the wounds of war, is honorable and inspiring,”

said Roe and Takano.

“DAV leaders can be found in every state, in VA facilities across the country, and in the halls of Congress working to uphold the promises we’ve made to America’s men and women in uniform. More so, they work tirelessly to empower these veterans to continue to serve our country even after they hang up their uniform – the over 1 million DAV members are a testament to their success. We congratulate DAV with this commemorative resolution for their 100 years of service for our nation’s veterans and look forward to working with them for many years to come."
