After customer demand falls in Knoxville, Megabus discontinues service

Megabus has discontinued its service to and from Knoxville.

Sean Hughes, director of corporate affairs for Megabus.com North America, said the company is restructuring after a change in travel patterns. Fewer people are taking buses because it currently costs less than normal to drive or fly.

Hughes said Megabus will continue to keep an eye on routes though, and if customer demand picks back up Megabus could return to Knoxville.
