Knoxville "Voice" winner Chris Blue revealed on Monday that he will release his first original single later this week.

His song, "Blue Blood Blues" will be released at midnight on Friday, Dec. 15, according to a Facebook post from Blue.

"Thank you all so much for your prayers and how you show your love and how you've continued to support me on our journey together!!!! This is an exciting time not just for me but for us all!!" said Blue in the Facebook post.

Blue won season 12 of "The Voice" in May and since then, has been working on original music for his upcoming debut album. His "Voice" winnings include a record deal.

His soulful voice and energetic dancing won over the show's judges and audience. While on the show, he auditioned with a cover of “Tracks of My Tears” by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles. Blue later covered Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain," “When a Man Loves a Woman” by Percy Sledge and others.

After winning "The Voice," Blue has stayed busy. He got married in July, performed three sold out shows at the Tennessee Theatre in September and recently sang at the University of Tennessee vs. LSU football game at Neyland Stadium in November.
