Musical events fill Tennessee Theatre's January calendar

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - The Tennessee Theatre is ready to enjoy the month of January with many musical events.

Music lovers can enjoy the sounds of the Mighty Wurlitzer organ on Jan. 18. Dr. Bill Snyder, Freddie Brabson and The Lonetones will perform.

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and the Carpetbag Theatre will host a free performance.

On Jan. 24, the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will host a concert designed for children in pre-school through second grade.

Broadway fans can see the touring company of Cabaret. There will be three shows from Jan. 26-Jan. 27.

East Tennessee will be able to see dances and hear music showcasing Chinese culture from Jan. 30-31. Shen Yun's production features around 100 artists, 400 costumes and an orchestra.
