Knoxville’s Broadway Studios and Gallery Announces Its January Gallery Show 'Vision' by Misty Tippens

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Misty Tippens presents her show ‘Vision’ as the January artist opening Jan. 5 with a First Friday celebration 5-9 p.m. and will stay on exhibit until Jan. 27 at Broadway Studios and Gallery.

Tippens uses pencil, colored pencil, watercolor, alcohol ink and other media along with gold leaf accents to create her work. Capture is an understatement. Her work is masterful in technique, which rivals schooled artists in the style of realism. Her portraits of people listening to music from ear buds, for example, convey the sensation of isolation from the outside world yet depict the vivid auditory experience one can almost hear.

Regular hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays to Saturdays.

Broadway Studios and Gallery is a collective of 11 artists. They host a new art show every month, quarterly art competitions, operate a retail art boutique and teach classes.
