GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WATE) - Gatlinburg will be host to the 43rd annual Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade this Friday, December 7.

The event, sponsored by Ole Red Gatlinburg, is the beginning of Gatlinburg Winter Magic. Four-time world barbecue champion and "BBQ Pitmasters" host Myron Mixon will serve as grand marshal.

“With Myron Mixon as the Grand Marshal and Ole Red Gatlinburg as our presenting sponsor, there is a great deal of excitement around the parade this year and we hope everyone comes out to experience both the parade and all the seasonal activities,"
said Mark Adams, CEO of the Gatlinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The parade steps off at 7:30 p.m. from Baskins Creek Bypass and ends at traffic light 10. Parade-goers are encouraged to find a spot early. Admission is free.
