Three Arrested in Series of Structure Fires Spanning Two Counties

HOUSTON COUNTY – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Dickson County Sheriff’s Office and Houston County Fire Department resulted in the arrest of three men on arson charges.

On Thursday, at the request of 23rd District Attorney General Ray Crouch, Agents joined the investigation into a series of abandoned structure fires in Houston County that had occurred since early December. Information quickly developed that identified Alexander Hernandez of McEwan (DOB: 1/19/94), Michael Tarvis of Erin (DOB: 9/13/95), and Andrew Alexander of Bon Aqua (DOB: 4/23/00) as the individuals responsible. The investigation also identified the three as responsible for a structure fire in Dickson County.

On Friday, Hernandez was charged with five counts of Arson and booked into the Houston County Jail. Tarvis was charged with four counts of Arson and booked into the Houston County Jail. Alexander was charged with five counts of Arson and booked into the Dickson County Jail.
